EXAM DISTRIBUTION RULES
A newly added option in PenRad offers the ability to process exams for distribution by exam type(s) and results by various filters. Unlimited filter combinations are available based on exam type and BI-RADS® coding.

For example: screening exams only, screening exams with BI-RADS 1/2, BI-RADS 4 route to navigator, diagnostic mammos, all diagnostic studies, MRI exams, US, etc. Contact PenRad support staff to set up filters based on your facility distribution needs.

 

REMINDER LETTERS; AUTOSELECT
Many facilities use the AutoSelect feature to select their Reminder and Past-due letters for batch print. The enabled AutoSelect

feature automatically selects the next patient correspondence based on the date of the last letter and is initiated by the target date assigned by the radiologist during the last exam. This feature automates selection and ensures the patient receives their reminders sequentially regardless of the letter generation frequency chosen by the facility. Pro-active facilities can initiate letter generation daily to maintain a constant workload for scheduling, staff and referring physicians. AutoSelect automatically spaces sequential correspondences 30 days apart so no patient is left behind. Should a scheduled letter batch print be overlooked, AutoSelect will incorporate those correspondences as well. Contact PenRad support staff to enhance your program with AutoSelect.

FAQ regarding printing: “what is the AutoCommit selector for?” If selected, when print job is complete, it automatically processes the “Commit & Exit” command thus updating the database that the print job correctly processed (i.e.no jams, enough toner/ink, etc.). Typically facilities that use AutoCommit feature, pause the printer and initiate the print job prior to leaving for the evening. The print job is then QC’d in the morning.
