One Step Pre Audit Preparation and Audit Macros

Two macros where integrated to assist facilities with MQSA preparation. A Run Before MQSA Audit, and MQSA Audit macro. To access the macros, enter the Administration screen, tap Macro button. Run before Audit report on a monthly basis can provide insight on patient compliance, minimize audit preparation time.

AUTOMATED PRE AUDIT MQSA MACRO

A macro is provided to automate preparation for MQSA audit. Audit requires completed pathological findings for audit period, as well as resolution to unresolved exams when applicable. A macro is offered to produce itemized list of patients with incomplete pathology, and unresolved exams. The macro will automatically run administrative reports 4U, 4T, 4X, producing patient list of incomplete pathology results, and 5A for unresolved exams, for selected audit period.

 

Tap Marco button, select macro “1 Run Before MQSA Audit”, select Date Range, tap Print Selected button.

  • 4U Patients with Suspended / In Progress Pathology, provides list of patients with incomplete pathology.
  • 4T Patients with BX and NO Pathology, provides list of patients with BX, but NO associated pathology.
  • 4X Patients with Birads 4/5 and NO Pathology, provides list of patients with Birads 4 or 5 and NO pathology.
  • 5A Unresolved Exams, provides list of exams unresolved awaiting final outcome, to be incorporated.

AUTOMATED MQSA MACRO

A macro is provided to generate series of reports to fulfill the requested statistics outlined in the MQSA handbook, for patient and exam tracking, and supporting documentation. Administrative report 4SA provides the ACR Basic Clinical Relevant Mammography Audit summary as presented in

Handbook. The macro will automatically run various administrative reports listed below, for selected audit period.

 

Tap Marco button, select macro “2 MQSA Audit”, select Date Range, tap Print Selected button.

Listed below are the administrative reports included in “2 MQSA Audit” macro.

  • 3AA Count of Exams Performed by Radiologist, provides exam distribution counts for all exam types.
  • 3HH Patients with selected Birads values by Radiologist, set to Birads 0, to provide patient list.
  • 3HH Patients with selected Birads values by Radiologist, set to Birads 4s and 5, to provide patient list.
  • 3V Exam Birads Counts, provides distribution counts for each Birads by radiologist.
  • 4C Pathology Cancer Staging Statistics, set to screening, to provide staging distribution.
  • 4G Pathology Findings Category Summary by Lesion Size, provides distribution counts by type and size.
  • 4R Pathology Abnormality Finding by Patient, set to benign, to provide list of patients with benign biopsy.
  • 4R Pathology Abnormality Finding by Patient, set to malignant, to provide list of patients with malignancy.
  • 4SA Mammography Pathology Summary Report, provides summary of screening mammography.
  • 4SC Diagnostic Pathology Summary, provides diagnostic statistical outcomes for MG, US, MRI, NM.
  • 4U Patients with Suspended / In Progress Pathology, provides list of patients with incomplete pathology.
  • 4T Patients with BX and NO Pathology, provides list of patients with BX, but NO associated pathology.
  • 4X Patients with Birads 4/5 and NO Pathology, provides list of patients with Birads 4 or 5 and NO pathology.
  • 5A Unresolved Exams, provides list of exams unresolved awaiting final outcome.
    Note: In addition to reports above, independently run 3C for selected audit range for technologist counts.
  • 3C Mammogram Counts by Technologist, provides count of mammograms performed by technologist.

  • 3AA Count of Exams Performed by Radiologist, provides exam distribution counts for all exam type.
  • 4SA Mammography Pathology Summary Report, provides summary of screening mammography statistics.
  • 4SC Diagnostic Pathology Birads Summary, provides diagnostic statistical outcomes for MG, US, MRI, NM.
    Number of Negative Exams
  • 3V Exam Birads Counts, distribution counts for each Birads by radiologist. Use counts totals from B1 & B2.
    Number of Exams – Birads 0’s
  • 3V Exam Birads Counts, provides counts for each Birads by radiologist. Use counts from B0 column.
  • 3HH Patients with selected Birads by Radiologist, set to Birads 0, provides patient list. Totals on last page.
    Number of Birads 4, 4A, 4B, 4C, and 5’s
  • 3V Exam Birads Counts, provides distribution counts for each Birads by radiologist.
    Use counts from B4, B4a, B4b, B4c & B5 columns for the time frame.
  • 3HH Patients with selected Birads by Radiologist, select more options, select B4, B4a, B4b, B4c & B5.
    Provides listing of the patients and total number on last page.
    Biopsy Results – Malignant and Benign
  • 4SA Mammography Pathology Summary Report, provides summary of screening mammography.
    Cancer Staging (histologic type, size, etc):
  • 4C Pathology Cancer Staging Statistics, set to screening, to provide staging distribution.
  • 4C Pathology Cancer Staging Statistics, set to diagnostic, to provide staging distribution.
  • 4G Pathology Findings Category Summary by Lesion Size, provides distribution counts by type and size.
  • True Positives (TP), False Positives (FP),
  • Positive Predictive Value (PPV1, PPV2, PPV3),
  • Cancer Detection Rate for Screening Cases,
  • % of Minimal Cancers found (Invasive <1 cm, or in situ),
  • % of Node-positive Invasive Cancers found,
  • Recall Rate for Screening Cases
  • 4SA Mammography Pathology Summary Report, provides summary of screening mammography.
  • 4SC Diagnostic Pathology Birads Summary, provides diagnostic statistical outcomes for MG, US, MRI, NM.
